Project implementation is underway
Dream Glitcher – Development of an Innovative Narrative Video Game and a Video Game Production Tool
PK.1.1.08.0181
On 1 September 2025, Deep Creek Studio d.o.o. commenced the implementation of the project “Dream Glitcher – Development of an Innovative Narrative Video Game and a Video Game Production Tool”. The project is implemented in accordance with the rules of the Call for Proposals “Innovations of Newly Established SMEs” (PK.1.1.08 – Version 2), within the Competitiveness and Cohesion Programme 2021–2027. The Level 1 Intermediate Body is the Ministry of Economy, while the Level 2 Intermediate Body is the Croatian Agency for SMEs, Innovations and Investments (HAMAG-BICRO).
Project beneficiary: DEEP CREEK STUDIO limited liability company for computer programming
Total project value: EUR 182,044.47
EU contribution to project financing: EUR 129,037.13
Project implementation period: 01.09.2025 – 01.01.2027 (16 months)
Project manager and contact person: Saša Vidmar (sasa.vidmar@deepcreekstudio.com, +385 99 251 7161)
The purpose of the project is to develop and improve innovative technological and creative solutions in the video game industry through the implementation of advanced tools for the development of narrative systems and the integration of user behaviour analysis models into the user experience. The project addresses the limitations of existing solutions, which do not enable advanced narrative personalisation or real-time content adaptation. The development of the Dream Glitcher product and the Deep Tool will enable the creation of adaptive narrative experiences based on the analysis of user behaviour.
The objective of the project is to develop and bring three interconnected components to the level of market readiness (TRL 8): the Dream Glitcher video game, the Deep Tool, and a system for user behaviour analysis and content adaptation. The project will improve the technological foundation of development, standardise narrative processes, and enable more efficient production and scaling of video games, while increasing product quality and innovation.
Expected results include the development of a market-ready product, increased competitiveness of the company, and the establishment of a sustainable business model through the commercialisation of the game and distribution of the tool. The project will contribute to more efficient development, cost reduction, and a stronger market position, while creating the conditions for further growth and internationalisation.
Project Scope
The project encompasses the development of an integrated solution comprising a video game, a production tool, and a user behaviour analysis system, with the aim of developing adaptive narrative experiences based on user interaction.
The Dream Glitcher video game introduces dynamic real-time content adaptation through the integration of user behaviour analysis models. Deep Tool enables modular narrative creation, management of story branching, and integration of analytical systems, thereby increasing development efficiency. The user behaviour analysis system collects and interprets data on user interactions and enables real-time content adaptation.
Project Activities
The activities are focused on the development and validation of the product to the level of market readiness and the establishment of a sustainable business model. In the initial phase, technical requirements, system architecture, and the development plan are defined. The central phase encompasses the development, integration, and testing of all components, with iterative validation and optimisation. The final phase includes product finalisation, testing under real-world conditions, and preparation for the market, thereby achieving TRL 8 and confirming readiness for commercialisation.
